Gareth Davis Builders is a North Canterbury based building company operated by Gareth Davis and his partner Lauren. We are a dynamic team of qualified builders and aspirational apprentices driven to build beautiful homes, deliver stunning renovations, and give our clients the ultimate build experience.

Our team take on only a few projects each year to give you our absolute best throughout the process. We provide a personal, flexible service with the added benefit of working closely with Gareth throughout. From the initial concept discussions to completion, Gareth’s guiding hand and expertise are never far away.

Renovation construction is our forte. Our specialty is taking your home and unlocking its potential through homes renovations and extensions. Whether you want to accommodate a growing family or remodel your current home, our team has the experience and knowledge to make it happen.

Gareth Davis Builders have been in business for over ten years. In that time, we have nurtured solid and longstanding relationships with many excellent subcontractors and suppliers whose work ethic and workmanship align with ours.

Who Are We?

We are Gareth and Lauren – North Canterbury locals who love to build and renovate homes!

Since completing his building apprenticeship in 2006, Gareth has lived and worked across New Zealand, Australia and the UK, undertaking projects of various scales, including large architectural projects and significant renovation work.

Gareth Davis Builders launched in 2012, and since then, Gareth has enjoyed growing his business and working on many projects throughout Christchurch and North Canterbury.

With 20 years of building experience under his belt, Gareth is not only a highly skilled carpenter but will project manage your build from start to finish and offer ideas, suggestions and solutions at the concept stage and along the way.

Lauren’s career background is in event and account management. However, since having children, Lauren now takes on the role of Office Manager, looking after the day-to-day running of the business behind the scenes.

Lauren has a keen interest in property and design and will be involved when you are finalising the specifications of your build and choosing fixtures. She will also ensure you are updated on progress throughout your project.

Gareth and Lauren take a hands-on approach to business, regularly onsite on the tools and meeting face-to-face with clients. They love to offer practical advice and excellent solutions and thrive on working collaboratively with their clients.

Where Do We Work?

We are North Canterbury born and bred, and we love nothing more than to build for local clients in our area.

Our Builders work in the Waimakariri District, from Kaiapoi, Rangiora, Woodend areas and beyond, and further north in the Hurunui District in the Amberley and Waipara areas. We also service North Christchurch suburbs as well.
